The Dutch government has announced the resignation of two senior ministers following a cabinet meeting focused on the situation in Gaza. Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp and Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Hanneke Boerma, both affiliated with the New Social Contract (NSC) party, formally stepped down after NSC’s decision to withdraw from the coalition.

Their resignations were submitted to King Willem-Alexander earlier today. Defence Minister Ruben Brekelmans will temporarily assume the role of acting Foreign Minister.

This development marks a significant shift in the Netherlands’ diplomatic and trade leadership. While the government continues its work uninterrupted, observers note that the transition may influence upcoming foreign policy discussions and trade negotiations.

TWW News will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates relevant to international stakeholders and trade professionals.
