The Netherlands have reshuffled their squad ahead of the three-match T20I series in Bangladesh, naming 17-year-old Cedric de Lange among three fresh inclusions. The uncapped batter, who has impressed in domestic T20s and Under-19 fixtures, steps in as the squad grapples with last-minute injury setbacks.
Cedric’s been outstanding all summer,” said captain Scott Edwards. “It’s exciting to bring in young talent, and he’s earned this opportunity. We’re eager to see what he brings to the table—on this tour and beyond.
Joining de Lange are pacer Sebastiaan Braat and all-rounder Sikander Zulfiqar, replacing Ryan Klein and Fred Klaassen, both sidelined due to injury. Saqib Zulfiqar has also withdrawn for personal reasons.
The series, kicking off August 30 in Sylhet, serves as a key tune-up for the Netherlands ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup next year.
