Ireland captain Gaby Lewis has reached a new personal milestone in the ICC Women’s T20I Player Rankings, climbing to a career-best rating of 625 points following her unbeaten 66 against the Netherlands in Rotterdam. She remains firmly in 15th place among T20I batters, now just a few strong innings away from breaking into the top 10.

Ireland’s unbeaten run at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Europe Division 1 Qualifier has not only secured their spot in next year’s Global Qualifier, but also sparked a rankings surge across the squad.

🏏 Team Highlights:

  • Amy Hunter smashed her second T20I century against Germany, holding steady at 29th in the batting rankings.
  • Leah Paul climbed 15 places to 75th after scoring an unbeaten 62, and jumped 13 spots to joint 64th among T20I all-rounders.
  • Freya Sargent, Ireland’s teenage spinner, rose six places to joint 86th in the bowling rankings after key wickets against Italy and Germany.

Australia’s Beth Mooney continues to lead the T20I batting charts, but Lewis is closing in fast, with the European Qualifier offering a golden opportunity to climb further.

Ireland now set their sights on the Global Qualifier, where four teams will earn a coveted place at the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England and Wales.
