During his time at the helm, Quigley oversaw several major initiatives:

  • A new funding agreement for the Bank
  • A comprehensive review of capital settings, now open for consultation
  • Progress on recruiting a new Governor for the Reserve Bank

Minister Willis praised Quigley for leaving the institution “well-positioned for the future” and thanked him for his dedicated service to New Zealand’s financial stability.

🔄 Interim Leadership

Deputy Chair Rodger Finlay will assume the responsibilities of Chair until a permanent successor is appointed. The government will announce a new board member in due course to fill the vacancy left by Quigley’s departure.
