In a bold move toward environmental innovation, the Aseer Municipality has signed a strategic agreement to plant one million smart trees across the region. The initiative aims to enhance urban greenery while integrating smart irrigation systems and data-driven monitoring to optimize water usage and tree health.

The project is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader push for sustainable urban development, aligning with national goals under Vision 2030. Officials say the smart trees will be equipped with sensors to track growth, soil conditions, and climate impact making Aseer a model for eco-conscious infrastructure in the Kingdom.

Municipal leaders emphasized that the program will not only beautify public spaces but also contribute to carbon reduction, biodiversity and community well-being.
