The United Arab Emirates has unveiled its 17-member squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2025, with seasoned batter Muhammad Waseem set to lead the team. UAE, placed in Group A alongside India, Pakistan, and Oman, will kick off their campaign against India on September 10 in Dubai.
The squad mirrors the lineup currently competing in the home tri-series against Afghanistan and Pakistan, with two fresh additions: fast bowler Matiullah Khan and left-arm spinner Simranjeet Singh.

This marks UAE’s return to the Asia Cup stage after their last appearance in 2016. The 2025 edition features eight teams split into two groups, with the top two from each advancing to the Super Four stage. The final showdown will determine the continental champion ahead of next year’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka.
