Riyadh, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have signed a landmark Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement, pledging that any aggression against one will be treated as an attack on both2. The pact was formalized during Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s state visit to Riyadh, where he was warmly received by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The agreement marks a major step forward in the two nations’ 78-year alliance, deepening cooperation in defense, regional security, and Islamic solidarity. Saudi landmarks were lit with both countries’ flags to celebrate the occasion.
