President Donald J. Trump has proclaimed July 20–26, 2025 as Made in America Week, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to reviving domestic manufacturing and economic nationalism.

The proclamation paints a vivid narrative of American resilience — from Jamestown settlers to modern-day industrialists — and positions the week as a tribute to “builders, ranchers, crafters, and entrepreneurs.” It also serves as a policy showcase for the administration’s America First economic agenda.

Key initiatives highlighted include:

  • United States Investment Accelerator: A new office within the Department of Commerce to facilitate investments exceeding $1 billion.
  • Presidential Memorandum on Foreign Investment: Designed to attract capital while safeguarding national security.
  • One Big Beautiful Bill: Legislation offering interest deductions for loans on American-made vehicles and full expensing for new factories and equipment.
  • FTC Crackdown: Targeting false “Made in the U.S.A.” claims to protect consumer trust and domestic producers.

The proclamation also critiques past globalist policies, accusing them of hollowing out American industry in favor of foreign competitors — particularly China. In contrast, the current administration claims to have attracted trillions in domestic and foreign investment, citing four consecutive months of job growth led by American-born workers.
