Italy’s push to expand its global trade footprint is yielding positive results, according to Vice President and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani. In a recent statement, Tajani highlighted the success of the country’s extraordinary export plan, aimed at countering the impact of U.S. tariffs and boosting trade beyond the European Union.
📈 Export Growth in First Half of 2025
In the first six months of 2025, Italian exports to non-EU countries rose by 1.3%. When excluding energy-related goods, the growth climbs to 2%. Tajani credited this progress to Italy’s strategic trade missions and efforts to diversify its international markets.
🌍 Key Markets Driving Success
Strong export performance was recorded in several countries, including:
- United Arab Emirates
- Brazil
- Switzerland
- Spain
- Saudi Arabia
These gains reflect the global appeal of Italian products and the effectiveness of targeted diplomatic and commercial outreach.
🛍️ Made in Italy: A Global Standard
Tajani emphasized that the quality and diversity of Italian goods continue to resonate worldwide. From fashion and food to machinery and design, the “Made in Italy” brand remains a powerful driver of economic growth.
