, August 11 — At least 20 civilians were injured after a guided aerial bomb launched by Russian forces struck a central bus station in the southern Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia on Sunday evening, according to local emergency services.
The blast damaged multiple civilian infrastructure sites, including vehicles and nearby residential buildings. Authorities confirmed that a second strike targeted the same region, intensifying concerns over the safety of public spaces amid ongoing hostilities.
In a separate incident, a medical facility at Zaporizhzhia Medical University was shelled while nearly 100 people were inside. Although no casualties were reported at the clinic, the attack forced a temporary suspension of medical services.
Regional officials described the strikes as part of a broader escalation in southern Ukraine, where civilian areas continue to bear the brunt of military aggression. The attacks come amid renewed international calls for de-escalation and accountability.
