Ireland’s left-arm spinner Aimee Maguire has been officially cleared by the International Cricket Council (ICC) to resume bowling in international matches. This decision follows a successful re-assessment of her bowling action after she was reported for a suspected illegal action during the first ODI against India in Rajkot on January 10, 2025.

Maguire had been suspended under ICC regulations, which require bowlers with suspect actions to undergo testing. Since then, she worked on remodelling her technique and underwent evaluation at an ICC-accredited centre. The results confirmed that her elbow extension now falls within the permitted 15-degree limit.

With the clearance, Maguire is set to rejoin Ireland’s bowling attack and continue her international career.
