After completing a 146-day mission aboard the International Space Station, the four-member Crew-10 team is set to discuss their scientific work and experiences during a live news conference on August 20. The event will be held at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston and streamed on NASA’s YouTube channel.
The crew—NASA astronauts Anne McClain and Nichole Ayers, JAXA astronaut Takuya Onishi, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Kirill Peskov—returned to Earth on August 9 after orbiting the planet 2,368 times and traveling nearly 63 million miles.
During their time in orbit, the astronauts conducted hundreds of experiments focused on biology, materials science, and space technology. Notable investigations included studies on plant growth under radiation, protein synthesis in microgravity, and microalgae as a sustainable food and biofuel source.
NASA’s Commercial Crew Program, in partnership with SpaceX, continues to expand access to low Earth orbit, enabling more science, more collaboration, and laying the groundwork for future missions to the Moon and Mars.
