Brussels, The European Commission has announced the EU Enlargement Forum, scheduled for November 18, 2025, in Brussels. The high-level event will be hosted by Commissioner Olivér Várhelyi, bringing together key stakeholders to discuss the future of EU enlargement policy and regional integration.

The forum will convene government officials, civil society leaders, academics, and private sector representatives from both EU member states and candidate countries. Topics on the agenda include rule of law, economic convergence, democratic resilience, and the strategic importance of enlargement in the current geopolitical climate.

Commissioner Várhelyi emphasized that enlargement remains a cornerstone of the EU’s vision for a stronger, more united Europe, and that the forum will serve as a platform to exchange ideas, assess progress, and reinforce political commitment to the accession process.

The event is part of the EU’s broader efforts to revitalize enlargement dialogue, especially with Western Balkan and Eastern Partnership countries, and to ensure that reforms are matched by tangible support and clear pathways to membership.
