In a heartfelt tribute to one of Florida’s most iconic figures, Governor Ron DeSantis has officially declared August 1st, 2025, as “Hulk Hogan Day” across the state. Flags will be lowered at the Florida Capitol and in Pinellas County to honor the legacy of the legendary wrestler and entertainer.

Hulk Hogan was more than a global superstar—he was a proud Floridian whose impact reached far beyond the ring,” said Governor DeSantis. “We remember him not only for his strength and charisma, but for the way he inspired generations. Rest in peace, brother.

Born Terry Bollea, Hulk Hogan became a household name through his unmatched presence in professional wrestling and pop culture. His deep ties to Florida, especially the Tampa Bay area, made him a beloved figure in the state.

August 1st now stands as a day of remembrance and celebration of a man whose legacy continues to echo through sports, entertainment, and the hearts of fans worldwide.
