Washington, D.C., First Lady Melania Trump convened a high level meeting of the White House Task Force on Artificial Intelligence Education, joined by government officials and private sector leaders committed to advancing AI literacy across America.

In her opening remarks, Mrs. Trump emphasized the transformative potential of artificial intelligence, calling it “the greatest engine of progress in our nation’s history.” She urged responsible development and education, likening early stage AI to a child that must be nurtured with care and foresight.

This marks the second official gathering of the Task Force since President Donald J. Trump signed the Executive Order on Advancing AI Education for American Youth in April 2025. The initiative has already garnered over 135 pledges from industry leaders to support AI learning nationwide.

Mrs. Trump also spotlighted her ongoing advocacy for youth safety online through the BE BEST initiative, which helped pass the bipartisan TAKE IT DOWN Act earlier this year. She recently made headlines by using AI narration for her bestselling memoir, Melania.

To further engage students and educators, the First Lady launched the Presidential Artificial Intelligence Challenge, inviting K–12 participants to showcase their creativity and innovation at AI.gov.
