Governor Kathy Hochul has announced the launch of Community View Apartments, a $19 million housing development in the Village of Morrisville, Madison County. The project delivers 61 affordable one-bedroom units for residents aged 55 and older, including 20 apartments with dedicated support services for frail seniors who have experienced homelessness.

Designed to promote independent living, the three-story building includes accessibility features such as roll-in showers, handrails, wide hallways, and emergency call systems. Located near healthcare, retail, and public amenities, the complex is also fully electric and meets ENERGY STAR® standards for energy efficiency and indoor air quality.

Support services—ranging from wellness programs to transportation—are provided by the adjacent Crouse Community Center. Funding was secured through multiple state initiatives, including New York State Homes and Community Renewal, the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance, and NYSERDA.

This development is part of Governor Hochul’s broader $25 billion housing plan aimed at creating or preserving 100,000 affordable homes across New York State.
