Rawalpindi Security forces successfully eliminated two terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan District, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The operation, conducted in response to credible intelligence, targeted militants involved in recent attacks on security personnel and civilians. The ISPR confirmed that the slain terrorists had been actively engaged in terrorist activities against law enforcement agencies and were responsible for multiple violent incidents in the region.
Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the site, indicating the militants’ intent to carry out further attacks. The Pakistan Army reaffirmed its commitment to eradicating terrorism and maintaining peace in the region.
“The security forces of Pakistan remain determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism,” the ISPR stated, adding that operations will continue until complete peace is restored.
North Waziristan has been a focal point of counterterrorism efforts in recent years, with ongoing operations aimed at dismantling militant networks and securing the tribal belt.
