Ireland’s rising star Orla Prendergast has made a major leap in the ICC Women’s T20I Player Rankings following her standout performance in the 2–1 series win over Pakistan.
Named Player of the Series, Prendergast racked up 144 runs and took four wickets across three matches. Her consistent all-round display earned her a career-best rating, propelling her into the top 20 batters for the first time—now ranked joint 19th. She also broke into the top 50 bowlers and climbed to sixth among all-rounders.
Ireland’s success was bolstered by teammates Amy Hunter and Laura Delany, who also saw ranking gains. Hunter moved up to 29th among batters, while Delany entered the top 50 for the first time.
Despite losing the series, Pakistan had bright spots. Muneeba Ali’s unbeaten century in the final match lifted her to joint 32nd in the batting rankings, while captain Fatima Sana rose to 59th among batters and joint 39th in bowling after leading the series in wickets.
The rankings update also saw a shake-up at the top: Australian all-rounder Annabel Sutherland claimed the No. 1 spot among T20I bowlers, overtaking Pakistan’s Sadia Iqbal, who dropped after a modest series showing.
