Despite immediate intervention by on-site veterinary teams, the decision was made to humanely euthanize the horse.
The incident occurred during the second loop of the endurance course, held in the expansive Windsor Great Park and supported by the Kingdom of Bahrain. Organizers confirmed that all FEI veterinary protocols were strictly followed, including pre-ride inspections, in-ride monitoring, and post-loop evaluations. The mare was attended to without delay, but the nature of the injury left no viable path to recovery.
