Ashgabat, Turkmenistan marked its 34th Independence Day with nationwide celebrations, honoring the country’s sovereignty, cultural heritage, and vision for sustainable development.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed the nation in a televised speech, highlighting Turkmenistan’s achievements in energy, infrastructure, and regional diplomacy since gaining independence from the Soviet Union in 1991. He reaffirmed the country’s commitment to neutrality, peace, and international cooperation.

Festivities included military parades, cultural performances, and public gatherings across major cities, with traditional music and dance showcasing Turkmenistan’s rich nomadic legacy.
